Today, the second round of the House
Team Debate Competition was hosted. I was helping on this day to MC for this
round of the House Team Debate Competition. Today, four teams were competing,
with two teams going against each other at a time. I was helping to MC for one
of these group of two competing teams. I MCed for Celebes Stingrays B team and
Banda Sharks B team.
I introduced each speaker before
they came up, and helped the time keepers who were not used to time keeping. I
also wrote down on the whiteboard in the room, the amount of time each speaker spoke.
At the end of the debate, the teams
and time keepers were ushered out while the two adjudicators discussed which
team they thought did better. The two teams were then called back into the room
to hear comments and learn who had won the debate. For this round, the Celebes
Stingrays had won.
