Action: School Basketball Team

            Today we went to our game at STB where we found out that we will be playing JIS again, to determine our placing in the league. Our team was smaller today as not too many people made it. We lost the game to JIS and our final placing in the league is 6^th place.

            Today we had practice as usual. At this practice, we did drills as usual and are preparing for the game that we will paly at STB this Saturday and which will be the final game of the league. We mostly focused on doing shooting drills, such as learning to shoot at without preparation as we will likely have to do in a game.

            Today we again had a home game where we played Kemang once again at 4:30 pm afterschool. This time, we were able to again beat Kemang, and I feel that it is one of the better games that we have played.

Service: Teaching English Club

            Today, the second round of the House Team Debate Competition was hosted. I was helping on this day to MC for this round of the House Team Debate Competition. Today, four teams were competing, with two teams going against each other at a time. I was helping to MC for one of these group of two competing teams. I MCed for Celebes Stingrays B team and Banda Sharks B team.

            I introduced each speaker before they came up, and helped the time keepers who were not used to time keeping. I also wrote down on the whiteboard in the room, the amount of time each speaker spoke.

            At the end of the debate, the teams and time keepers were ushered out while the two adjudicators discussed which team they thought did better. The two teams were then called back into the room to hear comments and learn who had won the debate. For this round, the Celebes Stingrays had won.

            Today we had a home game against Sekolah Pelita Harapan Lippo Village, as part of the league that we are joining. It was a home game played at 3:30 pm. We lost to Lippo today, but it was quite an okay game.

Action: Swimming

          Today was my first day to conduct this CAS activity. It has been a long time since I have swam and I felt it today as I was swimming. Not only does my stamina need work, but my technique also needs to be fixed again. When I do freestyle for example, there is a sort of kink in my left shoulder, that I can especially feel when in between strokes I try breathing on the left side instead of the right side. Today I mostly did freestyle laps and one or two breaststroke laps. Hopefully, as time passes by and I swim more, I will be able to improve the various things that I need to improve.
