Creativity: Piano Lessons

            Today, I played the rondo part of the piece by Dussek once gain. I need to paly it more neatly, and pay attention to the signs such as the rest signs and the staccatisimo signs, so that it reflects in my playing. I played the pieces from Bach again, and need to watch the tempo for no. 12 and play more smoothly for no. 5.

Action: School Basketball Team

            Today we went back to having normal practice. As the Christmas break is coming up very soon, today’s practice is an optional practice, and the final practice that we will have until we meet again in January. Today’s practice focused on conditioning, and so we did drills such as running around the soccer field while the last runner has to outrun the first runner for a number of laps.

            Today, I played piece no. 5 from Heller, which I need to be more careful in playing so that I read the signs more carefully. I also played Bach no. 12 and 5 again. For no. 12, I need to be more accurate in the notes that I play and keep my tempo constant. I also need to work on no. 5, so that it plays more smoothly. Today, I also played the rondo from Dussek’s sonatina piece once again.

Action: School Basketball Team

            Today we played our second game of the league against JIS. This game was a game that we played at JIS on a Saturday. It was played at 9:00 in the morning and sadly, we lost to JIS, though only by the score of one shot. Regardless of the score, there are many areas in which we can improve, especially in our efficiency in working together as a team.

Creativity: Piano Lessons

            I played pieces no. 12 and 5 from Bach today, which I still need to work on. For no. 12, the left hand moves quite independently from the right hand, as it does for most all the songs in this book. I therefore need to practice the song until my hand has quite memorized the movements that it needs to make so that I am able to play the song smoothly. I also played no. 5 and 7 from Heller’s 25 studies today.

Action: School Basketball Team

            Today we played our first game of the season. It is also the first game of the league that we took part in. Our first game is against Sekolah Pelita Harapan Kemang Village. We played quite well today and managed to win the game, so it’s a good start to the season. It was a home game.
